Music Ministries

Calvary Memorial Church, Philadelphia, PA.

Rebecca Schillack, Director of Music

Welcome to the Music Ministry Program at Calvary Memorial Church. Our mission is to prepare the congregation’s hearts for the Word through worship.

We have numerous opportunities for you to get involved with musical worship whether you have an interest in singing, playing an instrument, expression through drama, etc. We have an adult choir that meets on Thursday nights, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., a Worship Team, and a band, consisting of a drummer, violinist, flutist and keyboardist.

We are in need of a guitarist if you have a desire and the skills needed to join the band.

We have Kids’/Teen Choirs that meet during and after the Sunday morning worship.

If you are interested in joining any of the choirs and/or the Band, please contact Rebecca Schillack, the Director of Music, via e-mail: [email protected]

It is not about us, but, about Christ. May that always be so as we worship through music!

“Every day we wake to the sound of two voices—the one of Wisdom and the one of folly; the voice of the Lord and the voice of this fallen world. The gospel that seemed so clear and true on Sunday morning can so easily be chipped away at, twisted a little, and devalued by the messages we hear through the week…We need to sing over and over again of how we were once under the wrath of God, condemned to die, without even a hint of hope. We need to sing of how hope came from above, in human form, as the Son of God entered the world to provide a way for the salvation of all mankind (Phil. 2:7-11)…Friends, if our singing is not impacting how we process life—if it is not strengthening us, training us, encouraging us, and comforting us, then we have not unwrapped the gift that singing is to us. We’ve been playing with the wrappings.” – Sing! How Worship Transforms Your Life, Family and Church (Keith & Kristyn Getty)
